Call for Experts: ASCENT Project Preparation Facility (PPF)
The COMESA Secretariat, through the Accelerating Sustainable and Clean Energy Access Transformation (ASCENT) Project Preparation Facility, has issued a Request for Expressions of Interest (RfEOI) and is inviting consulting firms and individual consultants to join its Roster of Experts.
Funded by the The World Bank Group and implemented by COMESA, the PPF helps governments, companies, and investors develop bankable, investment-ready distributed renewable energy (DRE) and clean cooking projects across Eastern and Southern Africa. Experts on the roster are mobilised on an as-needed basis to support PPF beneficiaries.
Cygnum Capital, the ASCENT PPF Manager, is onboarding pre-qualified service providers across 18 thematic categories from feasibility and technical studies, market assessments, and financial modelling to transaction advisory, digitalisation, ESHS, gender and inclusion, carbon finance, and productive use of energy.
A few essentials:
Assignments may be in any of the four following languages: English, French, Portuguese, and Arabic.
Apply for up to four thematic categories.
Submissions in English, max 25 pages (excluding annexes).
Submission deadline: Wednesday, 15 July 22:00 East African Time (EAT)
Inclusion on the roster does not guarantee assignment of work.
